Flash Math Creativity is an incredibly interesting book that was originally published back in 2002. It's theme is using mathematical functions, particularly iterated functions, related to fractals and chaos theory, in ActionsScripts to generate graphics.

In this piece, I have taken a sample document that made a pretty interesting animated pattern. By changing one of the key repeated components blend setting to Screen, I was able to get much more variation in color.
