Review Process with Focal

I’m really glad to be working with Focal Press on our book project.

It has been really interesting so far, particularly the review process. We got a lot of feedback on our proposal and sample chapters. I feel certain that a stronger concept emerged through this process.

This is a book idea that Robbie and I have been working on for a long time.

Currently, it is in development with Focal Press. I don’t want to say much more right now, because things are still coming together, but I do plan to report on the progress of this project here.

Transition

The main reason I thought to start this blog was to report on an exciting and transitional period of life.

A friend asked me about 6 months ago what I most wanted to achieve. Without pausing to think, I said, “I want to have a voice.”

I think* that I am right on the verge of starting to realize this longterm goal. So, writing this blog will be part and parcel, as well as being a record of, that transition (I hope).
